Brian McFadden's vocals will be on Westlife's greatest hits album - because the rest of the band want them there.
Kian Egan told the Daily Star Sunday: "We were asked if we wanted to re-record his vocals for the Greatest Hits album by the record label.
"We discussed it and we were like, 'No, we don't want to take him off'.
"But even though we want Brian's vocal on the record, bringing him back would overshadow what we have done as a four-piece."
Egan added that they had been offered "big bucks" to reunite with McFadden.
Fellow Westlife member Nicky Byrne has also stated that their record label had offered them more money to stay together.
