On yer bike mum for city fun

CELEBRITY stylist Lisa Fitzpatrick is gearing up for a car-free ramble through Dublin city centre.

Ms Fitzpatrick and Westlife’s Nicky Byrne are set to lead thousands of families on to the normally traffic-clogged streets of the capital for a rare chance to cycle around in a car-free environment.

Ireland’s first ever Sky Ride will see 8km of city streets closed to traffic between 10am to 4pm on Sunday, September 11.

The route will pass famous landmarks, including the new National Convention Centre, the Samuel Beckett Bridge, the Pepper Canister Church and Government Buildings as it makes its way from the Docklands to Merrion Square.
