Westlife’s Nicky Byrne and his family have got behind a new campaign, to urge Irish men to dial 999 if they think they are having a heart attack.
Nicky’s father died after a suffering a heart attack in November 2009. He was just 60 years old.
The new campaign urging men to “listen to your heart and not your head”, will get underway this weekend.
Nicky says he hopes Irish men will heed the warnings and contact the emergency services if they suspect they are having a heart attack.
